Longe, AIA, located in an historic building in downtown Birmingham is seeking a Project/Design Architect to assist with the design, planning and Construction Documents for a broad range of very High-End Residential, Mixed-Use, New and Renovation Architectural projects along with the accompanying Interiors.
Candidates must be motivated, able to work in a team environment, have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Summary Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture with a minimum of 5 years experience in an architectural practice and have an experienced understanding of and production of Construction Documents.
Candidates with an equivalent amount of work experience will be considered.
Technical proficiency and confidence using architectural drafting, modeling and rendering software, such as AutoCAD/ArchiCad, Sketch-Up and Photoshop is required.
The ability to freehand sketch is considered an asset.

Qualified candidates should have a professional degree in architecture, 5
years work experience, and have effective working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or ArchiCAD, Photoshop & Sketch-Up.
Strong graphic, verbal communications skills and creativity are important.
This position presents the opportunity to get involved with a variety of projects including Mixed-Use, Residential & Commercial typologies.
Essential Functions Be able to work in a team environment.
Research and document code requirements for assigned projects.
Assist in design development and presentation documents.
Prepare construction documents.
Conduct material and product research as required for project development.
Interface and coordinate design with other engineering disciplines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
